GRAFTON GP SUPERCLINIC TAKES OFF

Management at Grafton’s new GP Superclinic says the health facility has been overwhelmed with an influx of new patients since opening its doors in November last year.

It’s now hoping extended trading hours, and the launch of a drop-in-service, will help to accommodate the increasing demand.

The $5-million dollar project will deliver 12 new GPs and 15 allied health professionals when it reaches full capacity in the next two years.

The Superclinic was a key election promise made by former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, designed to take pressure off hospitals in the Clarence Valley.
