The Nambucca Valley’s community radio station, 2NVR, is set to benefit from a federal government grant of $120,000.
The radio station, which recently moved to its new location at Tewinga (PRON: T-WINGA), will use the funds to install air conditioning, floor coverings and painting.
2NVR will also improve access for disabled people, build a carpark at the community centre location and a new shed to house the station’s outside broadcast van.
Nambucca’s mayor, Rhonda Hobin, welcomed the grant which she says will improve conditions for the station’s volunteers.
