NAMBUCCA LIONS AFL CLUB COLLAPSES

Just after it scraped together a senior team for the upcoming north coast AFL season, Nambucca Heads has shocked officials and players with news, it’s exiting the competition.
After 20-years, the Nambucca Valley Lions club has folded due to a lack of players.
Many of the remaining players will now join the Sawtell-Toormina Saints, following the success of a recent trial match.
Five clubs from Grafton, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie will now contest the local seniors competition, with the under 18s to be boosted by the addition of the Camden Haven Bombers.
The senior’s season begins on April 21.
