FISHERMAN RESCUED AT YAMBA

A 64-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he slipped and fell six metres onto rocks at Yamba’s Southwall this morning.
The man, who was fishing at the location at around 9am, was initially helped by another fisherman before being winched to safety by the Westpac rescue helicopter.
He received a number of cuts to his head and a broken arm in the incident which happened during high seas at the popular fishing spot.
The man is in a stable condition.
