LENNOX HEAD’S NEIL BURGESS ADVANCES TO SUMMERLAND SINGLES FINALS

Last night’s rain created perfect conditions on the green for day two of the Summerland Singles tournament in Ballina.

Some of the countries best bowlers rolled into action, vying for a spot in tomorrow’s finals.

The north coast contingent is once again proving its a force to be reckoned with.

“We Finished up with four out of 32 who started yesterday, one’s a local, Neil Burgess who has won it before and is well known in the local area.”

Last year’s winner, Michael Anderson didn’t have the dream run he’d been hoping for, bowing out early in yesterday’s competition.

“So many bowlers are so even, if your not on your game, they’ll find out.”

Finals action will start tomorrow at Ballina’s Cherry Street Bowling Club at nine o’clock.
