A man has died following a hit and run near Mullumbimby this morning.
At about 10 o’clock, police were called to Coolamon Scenic Drive following reports that a cyclist had been hit by a car.
A passing surf life saver stopped and rendered first aid before paramedics arrived.
The man was taken to Mullumbimby Hospital with serious head injuries, but died a short time later.
Police are now trying to identify the driver and vehicle.
