Bonalbo Doctor

Following the planned retirement of popular Bonalbo GP Trever Tierney, the Northern New South Wales health department has announced a plan to ensure the area isn’t without a GP until a suitable replacement is found.
“Until that occurs we’re going to put in a contingency plan to continue to provide services to Bonalbo, that will involve having GP’s from either Casino or Kyogle going out there on most days.”
“We’re hoping in the next few months we’ll have a doctor for Bonalbo.”
Dr Tierney retires at the end of the month and ambulance, nursing and community health services will run as normal.
