A police pursuit spanning the Central Coast, Maitland and Cessnock area is underway.
Police attempted to stop an offending vehicle with road spikes on the F3 Freeway at Morisset, but it crossed to the wrong side of the road and continued north. A second vehicle was then carjacked at gunpoint near Beresfield and the pursuit continued toward Maitland then Cessnock.
i was there at the time of the car jacking in a car 1 car in front of the girls and I would just like to say that Joe (the man who was in the car in front of the stolen car and behind my car) is the most amazing person. Before the incident happened he allowed my car to pull in front of him even though he had not moved in 5 mins. He also he took the girls in his car after they had been thrown out of theirs and drove after the stolen car. I would also like to mention the truckies who were almost run over buy the stolen car and helped inform the police about what happened as well as us in the other cars.
