Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a Lismore service station early this morning.
The Ballina Road Mobil was held up at about 3 o’clock by a man wearing dark clothes, no shoes and a black scarf tied around his face.
“He has threatened the console operator with a small hand gun or similar object, the console operator has then handed over a small quantity of cash.”
The man then fled the scene and was last seen heading north on Cathcart Street.
Police are examining security footage and are urging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.
“The man is described as caucasian in appearance, slight build, approximately 25 – 30 years old, approximately 170-175cm tall.”
