Tourism operators in Coffs Harbour are welcoming an earlier start to the holiday season.
Officials say hundreds of holidaymakers have already begun pouring into the region ahead of the traditional busy period.
“Traditionally the season heightens up after the Christmas period, that’s when we get the main visitation base on last year, but certainly this year our visitation centre is starting to see increased numbers already and we are starting to see a lot of people in town already so it’s looking positive.”
Now business owners are crossing their fingers that the weather follows suit.
