The retrial of a Goonellabah doctor accused of sexually assaulting a patient in 2008 has started in Coffs Harbour District court.
Dr Prasanna Mishra was originally on trial in Lismore District Court earlier this year, charged with having sexual intercourse without consent and committing an act of indecency.
However the trial was abandoned on the final day after fresh evidence was brought before the court.
The retrial is expected to take three weeks and will hear from a number of witnesses.
