Port Macquarie swimmer James Magnussen has dominated the New South Wales Institute of Sport Awards, taking home all of the major gongs.
Nicknamed ‘the missile’, the 20-year-old was named Male Athlete of the Year, Team Athlete of the Year and also walked away with a career development prize.
Magnussen was a dual gold medallist at the World Championships in Shanghai, and the fastest man in the world this year for the 100-metre freestyle.
He now has his sights set on the 2012 London Olympics.
