Nimbin’s Hemp Party is on a mission to get medicinal cannabis on the political agenda, with a convoy set to protest during US President Barack Obama’s visit in Canberra on Thursday.
The group will roll out its inflatable 10 metre joint, which was originally banned from the authorised protest area.
Organisers hope Mr Obama will see it, and raise the issue with Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

The convoy will then head to a Cannabis Law Reform rally in Melbourne next Sunday.
