Police have arrested a man over the shooting of a bowling club patron during an armed hold-up in Newcastle five months ago.
The 24-year-old was taken into custody by heavily-armed police at Moree this morning.
It follows investigations into the shooting of 62-year-old Dick McGuigan at The Waterboard Bowling Club at North Lambton in June, and an armed hold-up at Carrington’s Criterion Hotel in May.
The arrested man is due to face Moree Local Court tomorrow.
