He’s calling on the community to back tougher penalties and to “name and shame” offenders.

  1. I will tell you what really frustrates me.
    When senator Coonan was in power I approached her in emails and letters on ways to protect the NBN network that the government was intending to roll out with a pit locking systems, and network monitoring equipment.
    (She was not interested.)
    Then when senator Conroy became communication minister, letters were sent to his office of ways to protect the NBN network.
    Yes again not interested.
    So now I am just waiting until someone realises that spending billions of dollars’ installing the NBN network is one thing, but how do they protect that asset from theft, damage and other forms of vandalism.
    It’s always the case being reactive rather than proactive.
