COUNCILLORS FEARS BUSINESSES WILL GO BUST AFTER HANDING OVER CARPARK TO STATE GOVERNMENT

Construction works for the rapid transit system have already caused headaches for businesses in Southport, and it looks set to do the same to those in Surfers Paradise.

Councillors have admitted they voted to let the State Government use the busy Cypress Avenue carpark during the works, a decision they’re now looking to renegotiate.
