INDOOR STADIUM REPAIRS SET TO BEGIN

After months of disruption to local sport, repairs are set to begin on the Port Macquarie indoor stadium.
Hastings Council will spend $130,000 on replacing the stadium’s deteriorating roof, which currently leaks water onto the courts during heavy rain.
The stadium has had to close 10 times in the last three months for safety reasons.
And it’s just the start of improvements at the facility, with $2.8 million in Federal funding allocated to convert the stadium into a multi-functional sporting complex over the next two years.
The stadium is home to a number of local teams across a range of sports including basketball, netball and volleyball.
