In a time when Australia’s manufacturing industry is doing it tough, one mid north coast business is booming.
Taree boat-building company Stebercraft has enjoyed a successful year, including securing a $5-million defence contract for the Australian Navy.
Now to top that off, the company was named Manufacturer of the Year at the 2011 Hunter Manufacturing Awards.
Stebercraft was nominated alongside eight well-known companies from the Hunter region.
