A man has been charged after allegedly dropping burning pieces of paper into underground petrol tanks at a Tugun service station in the early hours Sunday morning.
Gold Coast Highway Shell Service Station staff were forced to shutdown the tanks at about one in the morning.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed address.
He’ll appear in Southport Magistrates’ Court todaycharged with threatening violence.
