The Department of Primary Industry has lodged plans for a marine aquaculture lease off Hawks Nest, North of Port Stephens. The 20 hectare lease would be located 3.5 kilometres off Hawks Nest. The lease would allow researchers to continue their studies into Yellowtail Kingfish and Southern Bluefin Tuna.
