INQUEST CONTINUES INTO DEATH OF GRAFTON INMATE

A coronial inquest into the death of a man in Grafton jail has recommenced in Grafton Court.
Ian Klum from Woolgoolga, died after he was allegedly assaulted in his cell in June 2010.
Audio recordings of Mr Klum which aired on the ABC in October last year, illustrate how the 53-year old first tried notifying prison officers about his injuries.
While CCTV footage shows Mr Klum crawling from his cell, bleeding from his head, before talking to another prison officer.
The incident has prompted the Attorney General to call for a review of prison culture.
The inquest is scheduled to run until Friday.
