There’s been a happy end to the case of a missing corella in Newcastle.
54-year-old Joey vanished from his verandah last Sunday, during his ritual greeting to football fans streaming by for the Newcastle Jets game.
His disappearance even prompted the city’s former top cop to go back on the beat.
But late today, there was joy for Joey’s worried owner, Bobbie Gibson.
It turns out a footy fan had found her feathered friend in the street, while returning from the game.
