Deputy Mayor of Greater Taree City Council David West has been re-elected for the job at a council meeting.
Councillor West has held the position since October 2009 and will continue in the role for another 12-month term.
Councillors Alan Tickle and Mal Marks contested the position, but a preferential ballot ruled in favour of Mr West.
