Two and a half years after a Singleton grandmother was left to bleed to death in her townhouse, a man has gone on trial for her murder in Newcastle’s Supreme Court.
Hilliary Allan was bashed and suffered a deep cut to her leg, before being locked in her garage in March 2009.
The 82-year-old’s body was found the next day by her son.
28-year-old Scott O’Heir, a resident of Singleton at the time, is charged with her murder.
