Three people have been charged following investigations into an alleged shooting and attempted ATM robbery near Lake Macquarie in February.
The incident, on February 7, saw four occupants of a 4WD attempt to steal an ATM from a shopping complex in Coorangbong.
As the group was attaching a snatch-trap to the machine, a witness drove into the car park and was allegedly shot at, before they fled the scene.
The witness was uninjured.
A 21-year-old Lake Munmorah man, a 21-year-old Berkeley Vale woman and a 25-year-old Lake Munmorah man were charged yesterday and will face court over the next few months.
