WATEGOS TO GET SHARKBITE KIT

Byron Bay’s Wategos Beach will soon be home to the East Coast’s first specialised shark-bite treatment kit.

Called the Acute Shark Attack Pack or ASAP – the kit will carry medical supplies needed to help a patient, until emergency services arrive.

Designed by South African shark spotters and a Perth-based paramedic, it’ll arrive in September.
