A Newcastle man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a taxi in Sydney last night.
The 31-year-old was crossing William Street at Darlinghurst, just before midnight, when he stepped into the vehicle’s path.
He suffered serious head injuries and broken legs.
Police say interviews with the taxi driver and witnesses, along with a review of CCTV pictures, indicate the pedestrian was at fault.
