POLICE INVESTIGATE FORSTER ROBBERIES

Two elderly men have been robbed in separate early-morning attacks at Forster.
At about 5am today (Sunday) two men allegedly broke into a room at a motel in Macintosh Street and threatened an 80-year-old man with a screwdriver, before stealing money from his wallet.
About 20 minutes later, holiday units in Middle Street were broken into and a number of items, including laptops and mobile phones were stolen.
A 75-year-old man who went outside to investigate, was allegedly hit a number of times with a baseball bat.
Police are seeking witnesses to both incidents.
