A mid north coast-based credit union has issued a warning regarding a new telephone scam.
The Holiday Coast Credit Union is urging people to be cautious about the ploy, in which callers offer to reimburse customers for over-charged bank fees.
CEO, Neville Parsons said the credit union was alerted to the scam by members who’ve been targeted by the fraudsters.
He advised that under no circumstances should people provide any personal or financial details over the phone.
