GOONELLABAH’S INDIGENOUS YOUTH RECEIVE $100 000 IN GOVERNMENT FUNDING

Goonellabah’s Indigenous population has received $100 000 in federal government funding towards its youth plaza initiative, which aims to get youth involved in the community.
“It’s money we applied for, highly competitive so i’d particularly like to praise our community services staff for the standard of the submission they’ve made.”
The money will fund youth offices in the precinct and the development of Aboriginal employment programs with Woolworths.
The Gillard government also allocated $70 000 to fund crime prevention programs in Kyogle.
