Candidates in Armidale Regional Councils election are hoping to snag some early votes, with pre-polling now underway.
A number of people taking the opportunity to cast their vote at the old library building today.
48 candidates have nominated for 11 councillor positions.
A pre-polling centre is also open in Guyra at the council offices.
