COMING UP TONIGHT AT SIX

**Gold Coast City Council has voted eight to seven to break away from controversial water supplier AllConnex.
It followed four hours of intense debate on the issue that’s gripped the Gold Coast for seven months.
But the control of retail water is not settled.
Council now has until Monday to prove it can provide water to the Gold Coast at a cheaper rate than AllConnex.
**Erosion continues at Kingscliff Beach with 20 metres of beach lost in the last week.
There are calls for the State Government to immediately fix the problem.
**The National Parks and Wildlife Service has started their annual fox baiting program.
**And NBA star Patty Mills has joined the rest of the Australian Basketball side.
The 24-man Boomers’ squad is preparing for their Oceania Championship series in New Zealand in September.
