Bowraville on the mid north coast is preparing for the Australian round of the World Rally Championship in September.
Its sleepy streets will be transformed into a giant pit stop, while its population of 1,000 is expected to swell to 18,000.
When the rally was held in Kyogle in 2009, an estimated $17-million was pumped into the local economy.
