The Rivers SOS Alliance was formed in 2005 to campaign for the protection of river systems from mining operations. Too many major rivers are being polluted and fractured. Several creeks have disappeared altogether. The beautiful Karuah River now needs protection against possible future gold mining. We fully support the efforts of the new Monkerai group to save their river.
