Byron Bay’s, Ellis Ericson has surfed his way into round three of the Breaka Burleigh Pro.
The local hopeful cruised past American rival, Dylan Kowalski and India’s Putra Hermawan, coming out with a top score of 12.20.

But the boy from the bay had to work for his win – Japan’s Dai Wako scraped in just behind him with a solid 10.43.
