A man has been refused bail at Lismore Local Court after the alleged robbery and assault of a 71-year-old man in Lightning Ridge last Thursday.
21-year-old Duncan Beaumont was arrested in Casino yesterday and charged with aggravated break and enter and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A 17-year-old boy was also charged, and was granted conditional bail.
The pair will front Walgett Local Court in August.
