The Roads and Traffic Authority wants community input into a safety review of the Pacific Highway between Frederickton and Nambucca Heads.
The section of highway, which has been dubbed the death zone, has claimed three lives this year.
An RTA spokesperson said the review aims to reduce the number of serious injuries and fatalities on the stretch of highway.
Crash locations, such as those at Warrell Creek, will be included in the safety audit.
The investigation will also examine road lines, warning signs and roadside hazards.
