RYAN FEARED WIFE WOULD CLEAN HIM OUT

Two years after the murder of Duri farmer Jeffrey Ryan, and a jury in the New South Wales Supreme Court was today told Mr Ryan feared his estranged wife Helen, who’s accused of murder, would clean him out.

Jeffrey Ryan’s second wife, Helen, and her mother, Coralie Coulter, have pleaded not guilty to murdering the 48-year-old, who was shot dead at his Duri property in 2009.

The Crown alleges Helen Ryan organised the $30,000 contract killing of her husband, while her mother provided $10,000, knowing the money was a part-payment for the contract.

Mr Ryan’s son, Ben, gave evidence at the trail today, saying his father told him he did not want to leave the property until he was divorced from his estranged wife.
