FACTORY FIRE CAUSES OVER $100 000 WORTH OF DAMAGE

More than $100 000 in equipment has been destroyed in a blaze at a Byron Bay furniture factory.
Fire crews were called to the Banksia Drive address yesterday evening after neighbours noticed smoke billowing from the dust extractor outside the building.
“Very fortunate,I thought, that the fire was out on the external side of the building. If it had have gained access into the building it would have caused all sorts of havoc.”
Police are investigating the incident but are not treating it as suspicious.
No one was harmed in the blaze.
