SHOOTING REALISES COMMUNITY’S WORST FEARS

The worst fears of locals were realised with the shooting of Senior Constable Damian Leeding.

It follows months of calls for a specialised unit on the Coast to deal with the armed hold-up epidemic.

The Premier and Senior Police said such a unit wasn’t necessary.
