A 57-year-old Newcastle businesswoman has been arrested during a drug operation in the Newcastle CBD this afternoon.
Police say the woman has been under investigation for the past four months.
It’s alleged she has supplied heroin to a large number of people on almost a daily basis during that period.
The arrest was made by Strike Force Hendine, a joint-investigation between Central Hunter and Newcastle police to examine heroin distribution in the local area.
