HUNTER WATER BOSS APPOINTED SYDNEY WATER DIRECTOR

Hunter Water boss Kevin Young has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Sydney Water.

Mr Young started at Hunter Water as an engineering cadet while he was studying at the University of Newcastle. After his cadetship, Kevin left the organisation and worked in the private sector in Australia and overseas. Kevin returned to Hunter Water in 1992 as Asset Manager and then worked his way through various positions in the organisation before being appointed as Managing Director for Hunter Water in July 2004, holding the position for seven years.

During that time Mr Young oversaw the expansion of Grahamstown Dam, Water Sharing with the Central Coast and the controversial Tillegra Dam debate.
