Police have located the stolen car of former New South Wales treasurer, Michael Costa.
It was found at a remote campsite on Hayes Road near Millfield in the Hunter Valley yesterday afternoon.
The car was taken from Mr Costa’s home last month, after a violent home invasion.
Mr Costa’s wife, Deborah, was threatened and tied to a chair in front of her children, by a man armed with a knife.
She suffered minor injuries in the attack.
The car is currently undergoing forensic examination.
Police are still looking for the man responsible.
