The highly anticipated Kempsey CBD redevelopment will begin next week, with the construction of angled parking spaces on Smith Street.
14 additional spaces will be created between Belgrave and Forth Streets, taking the capacity to 49.
Increased parking time limits from one hour to two hours will also come into effect.
The work is the first stage of the street scape upgrades in the CBD following the opening of the bypass.
