Newcastle Council has started work on the second stage of the Stockton cycleway.
The $1.2-million project will link Stockton’s ferry terminal with the bridge.
The 3.2-kilometre stretch is expected to be complete by June.
It’s mostly funded by Newcastle Council, with $100,000 provided by the state government.
