SEALY LOOKOUT “CIRCUS PLANS” SLAMMED

Plans for a high ropes adventure course at an iconic Coffs Harbour lookout have drawn criticism from the National Parks Association.

Forests New South Wales says it’s considering the plans as a way of boosting tourism.

  1. I know this is old news, but the National Parks Association is way out of line here. They say they want ecotourism instead, but the adventure course IS an ecotourism project. When I first read about the ropes course, my first reaction was that it was just the sort of ecotourism that Coffs needed – the complete opposite of Gold Coast-style theme parks, or the indoor playcentres that most kids are more familiar with these days.
