Liberal candidate for the seat of Newcastle, Tim Owen, launched his campaign last night, but is still keeping quiet about his policies.
The businessman says he will make commitments when he knows they can be funded.
Meanwhile the Independent candidate was peddling for votes today.
John Tate says one of his priorities will be a dedicated cycle route in the CBD.
“We’ve got a cycleway right up to the edge of the city but the main streets, King Street, Edward Street Scott Street are not satisfactory at all, they dangerous.”
