CREAM AND BUTTER DRAGGED INTO SUPERMARKET PRICE WAR

First it was milk, now butter and cream have been dragged into the supermarket war.

Coles today announced new price reductions on dairy products, fuelling farmers’ concerns that they’ll be the ones footing the bill.

  1. The duopoly’s arrogance is breathtaking. After ripping consumers off for years on end with their furphy ‘specials’ and having to buy multiples of an item in order to get the specials price, coupled with flogging meat that’s as tough as old boots and fruit and vegies that go bad within a couple of days of purchase, they now think that by dropping their prices on a few items, and screwing the farmers in the process, that they’re going to win back shoppers.

    Sorry to disappoint you Woolies and Coles, but I’ll still continue to shop at out local Supa IGAs and Aldi, even if they don’t drop their prices on milk etc to match your bloody-mindeness.
