Prosecutors have withdrawn fraud charges against Shane Worrall – the man behind a Lake Macquarie drought appeal.
The 36-year-old was facing three counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception.
They were dropped when Worrall pleaded guilty yesterday to the charge of conducting a fundraising appeal without authority.
For that offence, he was today slapped with a $200 fine.
Worrall remains before the courts on unrelated weapons charges.
