The Newcastle Knights board is tonight formally discussing Nathan Tinkler’s latest buyout bid.
Chairman, Rob Tew, has described the meeting as one of the most important in the NRL club’s history.
The meeting at Knights headquarters is expected to go for at least three hours.
Board members will discuss the offer from the mining magnate, contained in a two page document, and decide whether to pursue it further.
It’s worth $100 -million over 10 years, and would see the club’s debt, paid off.
